Engineering Education Review (EER) invites submissions from researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners worldwide who are committed to advancing research, innovation, and practice in engineering education.
As engineering education continues to evolve in response to technological advancements, societal needs, and global challenges, EER seeks to foster international academic exchange and promote a deeper understanding of engineering education across different disciplines, institutions, and educational contexts.
The journal welcomes original research, critical analyses, and evidence-informed perspectives that contribute to the theoretical development and practical improvement of engineering education.
•EER welcomes contributions addressing a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:
•Engineering science and technology education
•Engineering management and engineering culture education
•Philosophy, ethics, and values in engineering and engineering education
•Engineering education policy, strategy, and governance
•Curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, and educational reform
•Interdisciplinary and emerging approaches to engineering education
•Comparative and international perspectives on engineering education
•Digital transformation and artificial intelligence in engineering education
•Engineering education for sustainability and societal development
•Industry–university collaboration and professional development
•Theoretical, methodological, and interdisciplinary research related to engineering education
EER particularly welcomes submissions to its three featured columns:
1. Philosophy of Engineering
2. Innovation and Reform in Engineering Education
3. Global Perspectives and Challenges in Engineering Education
These columns provide opportunities for focused academic discussion on important theoretical questions, educational innovations, and emerging challenges in engineering education.
We particularly encourage manuscripts that:
•Advance theoretical or methodological understanding of engineering education;
•Present rigorous research findings or evidence-informed educational practices;
•Address emerging challenges and opportunities in engineering education;
•Connect local or regional experiences with broader international discussions;
•Offer insights that may inform educational research, policy, or practice across different contexts.
EER welcomes contributions from diverse academic disciplines, geographical regions, and educational systems. We aim to facilitate meaningful dialogue among scholars and practitioners and contribute to the continuous development of engineering education worldwide.
