The 54th Annual Conference of the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI) was held in Prague, Czech Republic. As a conference partner, Engineering Education Review (EER) presented the journal through an exhibition booth, informational materials, and in-person discussions, introducing its editorial mission, key research themes, and future development plans to the international engineering education community.

This was EER’s first dedicated showcase and engagement with the European engineering education community. During the conference, engineering education scholars, university representatives, and industry partners from different countries and regions visited the EER booth to learn about the journal’s academic scope, key research themes, international Editorial Board, and submission procedures. The editorial team exchanged views with participants on topics including engineering education reform, talent development, interdisciplinary education, regional comparisons, university–industry collaboration, and the international dissemination of scholarly research. The team also introduced opportunities to contribute to the journal through manuscript submissions, special issue proposals, peer review, and academic collaboration.

EER’s participation also marked a continuation of its academic connection with Prague. In 2023, EER was officially launched at the World Engineering Education Forum held in Prague. Three years later, the journal returned to the city as a conference partner of SEFI 2026, further engaging with the international engineering education community. Through direct exchanges with international colleagues, EER gained additional insights into current research priorities and practical concerns across different countries and regions. These discussions will inform the journal’s future editorial planning, international collaboration, and academic network development.

Looking ahead, EER will continue to promote exchange between engineering education research and practice worldwide. Through special issue initiatives, peer review, and international academic collaboration, the journal aims to bring together research findings and educational experiences from different countries and regions and to advance knowledge sharing and scholarly dialogue in engineering education.
